HISTORY

Southern Illinois Dermatology was founded in 1996 by Dr. Ted G Van Acker.   Dr. Van Acker is Board Certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.  Dr. Van Acker has served as a consultant to most major dermatologic drug companies.

Southern Illinois Dermatology began as a single office and has grown to provide dermatology services in 16 locations throughout the Southern Illinois area.   Southern Illinois Dermatology specializes in general dermatology, dermatologic and cosmetic surgery, cosmetic dermatology and the latest in laser technology.   We offer the finest dermatologic care by offering the latest treatments available for skin, hair, and nail concerns.   Our staff ensures a high standard of excellence and a focus on patient needs in a professional and caring environment.
